CFP: Citizens, Civil Society and the Cultural Politics of Heritage-Making in East and Southeast Asia

This conference will dwell on the figure of the citizen, broadly understood, exploring how processes of heritage-making, as part of the everyday cultural practices through which cultural citizenship is asserted and discursively constituted, challenges the dominance of the state in defining its citizens.
