"From City to Village: Urbanization and Southeast Asia" Conference - Call for Papers

The NIU Southeast Asia Club and the Center for Southeast Asian Studies invites students to participate in this year’s Southeast Asia Student Conference being held on March 26, 2016. The theme for this year’s conference is “From City to Village: Urbanization and Southeast Asia.” The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Duncan McCargo, professor of political science at Leeds University and currently a visiting professor at Columbia University.

Any student may present at the conference as long as paper topics are relevant to the region of Southeast Asia. 

Important Deadlines:

Students competing for best paper (undergraduate and graduate prize) should have their abstract proposals submitted no later than January 31, 2016.

All other presenters much have an abstract proposal submitted no later than February 25, 2016.
