The conference seeks to reflect on the specificity of the socio-spatial production and its current evolutions of neighborhoods in the Asian context. Focusing on an in-depth exploration of neighborhood formations in city-making, the conference will address the following three lines of inquiry: 1. Questioning neighborhood "production of space" in cities in Asia, 2. Everyday urbanism, 3. Neighborhoods as sites of resistance and alternative city-making.
