This workshop aims specifically at scholars currently doing source-based historical research on the slave trade in Asia. The workshop will address the following themes: Size of slave trade; Patterns of slave trade; and, Sources on slave trade. Early career scholars (including Ph.D. researchers) who are currently engaged in source-based historical research on the slave trade in Asia are encouraged to react.
