Leveraging the success of the Isan Culture Maintenance and Revitalization Programme www.icmrpthailand.org/en/ content/programme, which involved large-scale mixed methodology surveying of municipal populations in Northeast Thailand on sensitive issues such as language and culture rights and the implementation of rights-oriented civic policies, the College of Local Administration at Khon Kaen University, the regional university for Thailand's Northeast, is happy to introduce to you the Social Survey Center www.sscglobal.info/ssc_ overview.html, with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation.
We specialize in:
1) Academic instruction and training.
2) Facilitation for Thai and foreign researchers.
3) Research and public education.
Through COLA's network in Thailand and throughout Greater Mekong Countries, we intend to open up local governments for research and have a proven track record in conducting and publishing research which has a real effect on implementing policy changes in association with municipal governments. We will work with you to help plan, implement, and publicise your research, always with the goal of policy change in mind. Email John Draper (johndr@kku.ac.th) if interested.
